Arbitrum: Fast and Cheap Ethereum Trading on Layer 2

Discover Arbitrum — Ethereum is largest Layer 2 by TVL, offering fast transactions and low fees with full EVM compatibility.

What Is Arbitrum?

Arbitrum is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution that uses optimistic rollup technology. It processes transactions off-chain and posts compressed data to Ethereum, achieving significantly lower costs while inheriting Ethereum's security guarantees.

Why Arbitrum?

  • Low fees: Transactions typically cost $0.01-0.50
  • Fast confirmations: Sub-second transaction finality
  • EVM compatible: Same tooling and contracts as Ethereum
  • Largest L2 TVL: Consistently the most-used Layer 2

DeFi Ecosystem

Major protocols on Arbitrum include GMX (perpetuals), Camelot (DEX), Radiant (lending), Pendle (yield), and Uniswap V3. The ecosystem is mature and growing rapidly.

ARB Token

The ARB governance token was airdropped in March 2023 and governs the Arbitrum DAO. It does not pay gas fees — those are paid in ETH.

Using Arbitrum with Alkizen

Bridge assets to Arbitrum and swap tokens with minimal fees. Alkizen routes through Arbitrum's deepest liquidity pools and can move assets seamlessly between Arbitrum, Ethereum, Base, and 70+ other chains.
